And no, I don't mean the Colts. :p Indiana voted Democrat for the first time since 1964! That is amazing. I'm so happy that my vote meant something, a big something, this time. :D I can't wipe the smile off my face today. I have to tone it down a bit, though. I'm surrounded by staunch Republicans and they are not happy today. Anyway, I know that it's going to take a lot of time and work to dig us out of the holes we're in, buit I really feel like it's possible. I guess I'll check back after the first 100 days and see how I feel!
I've been brushing up on my Russian with Susha. Having not used it much in the past six months I figured it would be mostly gone, but I'm pleased that I still remember over a hundred words. I am going to find the time this weekend to get back to work on my cyrillic writing. Unfortunately it fell by the wayside when I started to do more Rosetta Stone learning.
I just picked up a copy of Give Up by The Postal Service. I'm excited to listen to it. I really enjoy Ben Gibbard's (Death Cab for Cutie) voice. Here's hoping the album doesn't suck!

Obama took Indiana by just 22,718 votes. It's nice to think that my vote counted in that total. I know you can say the same no matter what the total is, but for some reason it means more when it's close like that.
Hopefully this will mean that the GOP won't take Indiana for granted in 2012.
Yeah, definitely!
I threw a vote to the 1 (one) Libertarian candidate on the ballot. Poor guy! I don't think he won, either.
There were a couple of Libs on the ballot in Hamilton County. Horning for governor and some guy for state legislature (I think). I didn't vote for their state legislature seat since I don't technically live in Carmel anymore, but I did vote for Horning.
I knew Horning didn't stand a chance of winning and honestly I don't think he had any solid ideas of what he'd do if he did win. But he's a pretty close match to me ideologically so I thought I'd throw him a bone.
That's weird, I kept my eyes peeled (like grapes) but didn't see any others!
"kept my eyes peeled (like grapes)"
I'll thank you not to use this phrase again.
Gah.
:P
