Looks like somebody has a case of the Mondays...

It feels like Monday all over again. Yesterday was a frustrating day of chasing my tail to get stuff done and none of it worked out. Today has started much the same. Only I'm not as worried about it today, for some reason. I've accepted my fate. Besides, I only have to get through today and tomorrow and then I have a 4 day weekend. WOO!

We're going out for a nice Italian (I can hardly wait for calamari!) dinner on NYE. Jolene is having a pajama party at her house afterward. Ends badly.

It's Christmas week. I'm working. Well, maybe not working, but I'm here.

I "work" again tomorrow. I wish I could play my DS. Luckily I'll be working from home on Friday so I'll be able to fire up LoTR and listen to it as I check emails and voicemails. :D

I'm nearly done with my shopping! I have few more things to get, plus a trip to the grocery store to pick up Christmas dinner items. Should be 3 stops total and nowhere too crazy. I'm pretty excited to spend a day in pajamas with my friends and family. I hope we get snow!

I don't understand why people have so much trouble wrapping presents. I can't get my mind around it. Most of the things I wrap are square/rectangular or I made them that way by putting them in a box. That's not hard.

I think I've had that song in my head for a week or so now. I can't seem to shake it. I've tried everything. I've listened to Viva La Vida about fourteen times. Icky Thump, ten times. Hell, I even tried listening to the Wicked soundtrack. Nothing is working.

I really need to finish up my shopping for Christmas. I only have a few little things left to get, but it's stressing me out not being done already. I like to wait to wrap the presents so I know what I have. I forget as soon as I put paper on them.

Tomorrow is our Holiday party for work. I wish I had a horrid Christmas sweater to wear. Something that lit up and sparkled. :D

Memories

I ate up most of my lunch (ha, pun intended) with the people from the bank so I decided to run through Taco Bell on the way back to work. I ordered a Chili Cheese Burrito (formerly chilito, rumor is they had to change the name because it means "little penis" in Spanish) and some nachos. This brought me back to the very first time I had Taco Bell. It's odd the things you remember, but I remember being in The Cities with Megan and her dad. There was some sort of car show along the street and we got Taco Bell and looked at cars. I couldn't tell you what year it was, though.

Yeah. Memories. :D

It's Friday at long last. I had the cheapest drink ever at the bar last night. It was cherry vodka and sprite, like I normally order, but it was $2.50. Crazy cheap!

I'm excited for the weekend to be here. We're going out tonight for Burkhardt's birthday. Karoke and friends! :D I'm hoping to go and see The Day the Earth Stood Still tomorrow. It looks good. Finally a role Keanu can "act" in. My list of movies is getting longer this Christmas. Valykrie, TDTESS, Madagascar 2, Role Models, The Tale of Despereaux, The Spirit, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...and of course I'll have to see Last Chance Harvey because Emma Thompson is in it. I probably won't see them all in the theater, but I need to make a note of them so I can add them to my Netflix queue as soon as they're available. :]

Four hours

I got four hours of sleep last night. First I couldn't fall asleep. Then I had nightmares and woke up a bunch. I am over it. As expected, today is interminably long.

I don't have much else to say, except to whine.

Oversleep much?

Nothing like waking up at 9:15 when you were supposed to be to work at 9:oo! Jeebus. I arrived at work to someone who isn't my boss telling me she scheduled a meeting for that exact minute. I put down my breakfast sandwich and off to the meeting I went. The bummer is I probably didn't need to be there. DANGIT!

My sammich was a bit cold when I got back, but still edible.

I have won 4 games of Scrabble now! I'm moving up in the ranks. I was shocked to see that they did not accept Satan as a word. I had to go with Santa instead. Lame!

All aboard the failboat!

Why do I constantly set myself up for failure? I got the books for my LOMA courses 5 weeks ago. I cracked one open and took the practice test. Scored a 60% and thought I'd better get reading. But I didn't. I procrastinated. And then procrastinated some more. Today arrived and I still hadn't read any. I spent a bit of free time this morning and my lunch reading but it was too little too late. I scored a 63%. FAIL.

The bummer is I have another test tomorrow, for another book I haven't read. It's going to be a long night of no TV, no Scrabble and plenty of LOMA. Maybe I can squeak past with a 70%. :(

Pizza the Hut

Why am I so excited to go to Pizza Hut for lunch? Because I can make a huge salad that contains mostly mushrooms and eggs, that's why. The pizza is good. Well, bad. But still so good. I'm just more excited about salad today!

Man. Now I want to go to Ruby Tuesday's and eat my weight in zucchini. Weird cravings today.

It hasn't actually gotten much worse since then, but I'm still on alert.

I'm officially addicted to Scrabble on Facebook. I played for many hours yesterday, while listening to the LOTR movies on TV. I'm also a big dork, evidently.

I'm excited to see that my birthday is on a Saturday next year, even though the thought of having an adult beverage turns my stomach right now. Thanks, Metformin! You may (or may not, the jury is still out) be helping my polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), but you make eating and drinking things a serious downer.

What else? I can't think of much, except how much I'd like to be playing Scrabble right now.
